TJames is an award winning director and producer- His principal source of motivation is to craft authentic stories of the human condition through the power of cinematic language. His work is intuitive and immersive, conjuring images that draw us deeply into the human experience. he uses both narrative and documentary style filmmaking to connect with audiences in a visceral way. 

Burns produced his first feature film Jamesy Boy based on his early life story, starring Mary Louise Parker, Ving Rhymes, and James woods. The film was released on Netflix in 2014. Since then His documentary short film, ‘We Live This’, was honored with the Tribeca Film Festival’s Special Jury Mention in 2015. His work has also been featured in the  Saatchi&Saatchi NDS at Cannes, Vimeo Staff Pick, in The Atlantic, on NPR, and on HBO’s Vice, and Vice.com
